As I thought about the efforts of everyone in the gym this holiday season, the song “Oh Come All Ye Faithful” came to mind. I couldn’t help but hum the chorus to myself as I watched everyone give their all in yesterday’s workouts.

You know, faithfulness is rare these days. Doing what we say we are going to do can be a hard thing. Life circumstances, time and other factors limit many individuals faithfulness.

But remaining faithful through good and bad times is the difference between enjoying success or living in defeat. When we stay faithful to our workouts, healthy eating plans and rest patterns even when we don’t feel like it, we’ll reap the fruits of our labor.

But if we quit when the going gets tough, we’ll never know what may have been.  Being faithful is not easy. If it was, everyone would do it.

Now don’t get me wrong, I realize that all of us have a bit of hypocrisy in us. It’s part of being human. But we must strive to decrease our hypocrisy and increase our faithfulness.

It’s impossible to become fit and not be faithful. There are too many distractions in this world pulling us in other directions for fitness to happen by chance.

Stay true to your word, your workouts, your intentions, your family and your friends. It may not be the easiest thing to do but it is the most beneficial.

Have a great day!
